Case Study: Battle of Rumblehorn 2025

Case Study: Battle of Rumblehorn 2025

Overview

During the 2025 North Dakota State Fair, Hooked Up Enterprises was tasked to help produce and elevate The Battle of Rumblehorn, a two-night bull riding and freestyle bullfighting competition. Our team led creative direction for the freestyle bullfights while managing all aspects of event branding, content production, and digital engagement. Thanks to Rodeo Minot, Bailey Pro Rodeo, and the North Dakota State Fair.

The result was a modern, visually powerful, and media-rich experience that positioned Rumblehorn as a signature attraction of the fair — attracting capacity crowds.

Creative Direction & Media Production

Hooked Up Enterprises spearheaded the storytelling, energy, and presentation of the bullfighting portion of the event through a complete creative media package:

  • Hype Video – used to drive pre-event awareness and online excitement.

  • Bullfighting 101 Educational Video – introduced new audiences to the sport, helping fans better understand the athletes, rules, and purpose behind the competition.

  • Daily Reel Blasts & Media Coverage – real-time short-form content distributed across social channels to capture momentum as it happened.

  • Logo & Brand Kit - Event ideation, branding, and media packages built and constructed by HU team.

Results:

  • Facebook Reach: 551,100 organic views

  • Instagram Reach: 830,298 organic views

  • Total Organic Reach: 1,381,398 views — achieved with $0 advertising spend

These numbers demonstrate the organic pull of compelling, story-driven content and the growing mainstream appeal of Western action sports when executed with modern digital media strategy.

Arena Branding & Visual Impact

Hooked Up provided complete arena branding and environmental design, crafting an immersive fan experience through large-scale visual installations:

  • Custom Arena Wrap: Installed both inside and outside the arena to deliver a cohesive, professional aesthetic.

  • Two Stretch Frame Walls: Massive anchor structures featuring event identity and top-tier sponsor branding — instantly recognizable and visually dominant.

This integration of physical branding with media production gave Rumblehorn a big-league look and feel, enhancing its reputation as a must-see fair event.

Athlete Representation & Apparel

Of the eight bullfighters participating in Rumblehorn, six were dressed in ArenaWear, including:

  • 4 Freestyle Bullfighters

  • 2 Protection Bullfighters

This strong ArenaWear presence reinforced brand visibility across live competition, media clips, and social coverage, solidifying the connection between elite bullfighting athletes and the Hooked Up brand family.

We also created a run of merchandise for the event, including 4 tee designs, a bandana, and other printed materials.

Production & Event Execution

Under the direction of Brent, in collaboration with Rodeo Minot, the ND State Fair, Bailey Pro Rodeo, Batz Entertainment, and tons of help - the show operated seamlessly across both nights. His leadership ensured precise timing, athlete coordination, and crowd engagement — contributing to one of the event nights selling out, a major achievement for a new, independently produced feature within the State Fair schedule.

Conclusion

Through cinematic storytelling, professional-grade branding, and seamless execution, Hooked Up Enterprises transformed The Battle of Rumblehorn into a high-energy, modern rodeo showcase that blended tradition with innovation.
With over 1.3 million organic views, powerful in-arena visuals, and a sold-out performance night, the event proved that strategic creative media and strong production direction can redefine Western sports entertainment for today’s digital audience.
